On 1-3 July 2019 the Max Planck Institute for Demographic Research (MPIDR) hosted their annual Rostock Retreat, this year on the topic of simulation. Ca. 25 participants were invited to present their simulation research. In addition, keynotes and lectures on advanced simulation topics were given. Martin Hinsch (University of Southampton) and Oliver Reinhardt presented recent results from the BAPS project. Prof. Adelinde Uhrmacher served on the organizing committee.
