The MoSis Kai Budde, Philipp Henning, Maria Pierce, Oliver Reinhardt, and Tom Warnke participated in the long night of science by organizing an interactive experiment. Two groups of about 20 visitors "simulated" how an infectious disease spreads in a population and how vaccinations help to inhibit or even eliminate diseases. The experiment was originally developed by our colleagues from Vienna. In addition, Prof. Adelinde M. Uhrmacher gave two talks on agent-based simulation and its application to model infectious diseases and migration.
